1984 Sikh Genocide Survivor Deposes Against Sajjan Kumar In Delhi Court

NewDelhi: It is learnt that Sheela Kaur, a 1984 Sikh genocide survivor, on Monday deposed in a Delhi Court against Congress leader Sajjan Kumar who is accused in the November 1984 Sikh killings case. In her statement Sheela Kaur told the court that Sajjan Kumar was involved in massacre of the Sikhs and was leading a gang that murdered her husband and other members of her family.

Briefing the media persons about today’s court proceedings Advocate H S Phoolka said that “Sajjan Kumar’s defence counsel is cross-examining the witness (Sheela Kaur) which would continue till 7 February 2018.

“Sheela Kaur was earlier given security on the directions of the Delhi High Court, but all of a sudden it was withdrawn a few months back,” he said while adding that in wake of fresh threats to Sheela Kaur’s life she has requested the CBI to get her security restored.
