Amritsar, Punjab (March 13, 2013): It is learnt that the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) shall begin the second phase of Sikh Insaaf Lehar on March 13, 2013 after performing ardas at Akal Takht Sahib.
Sikh Insaf Lehar is reportedly aimed at securing signatures on the Sikh genocide petition.
In a press statement sent to Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Karnail Singh Peermohammad of AISSF informed that in the first phase of the Sikh Insaaf Lehar campaign over one lakh people signed the petition and during the second phase, camps will be organized at various the religious places, schools, colleges and universities in all twenty four districts across the Punjab.
AISSF president has stated that the Sikhs have been deprived of justice in India for last twenty eight years.
“The victims of the Sikh genocide 1984 are still awaiting justice” he added while stating that “[t]he petition carrying 10 lakh signatures will be presented at United Nations headquarters in Geneva in November 2013”.
