Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal gets bail; release ordered by court

Dabwali, Haryana (January 01, 2012): As per information Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal who was arrested by Haryana police from Amritsar airport on December 25, 2012 in relation to a five years old case, has been granted bail by the court of District cum Sessions Judge of Dabwali. Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal is a Sikh preacher and patron of Panthic Sewa Lehar.

As per information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the court of Judge P. K. Goyal granted bail to Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal in all matters related to the case and acting upon the orders to grant bail, Duty Magistrate of Dabwali, Payal Bansal accepted the bail for Baba Daduwal.

Baba Daduwal was asked to deposit bail bonds of Rs. 1 Lakh for section 307 and two other bonds of Rs. 20 thousands each in two other matters.

It is notable that Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal was booked by Haryana police wide FIR number 90 of July 16, 2007 under sections 148, 149, 323, 506, 353, 386 and 307 of Indian Penal Code (IPC). This FIR was registered in relation to an incident that had took place at Village Ghukianwali, police station Audhan in Haryana. It is notable that on July 16, 2007 Dera Sauda Sirsa (DSS) chief Gurmeet Ram Raheem tried to hold a meeting at a dera situated at village Ghukkianwali. At that time the Sikhs were very agitated against blasphemous activities of the dera head. As a result an altercation had taken place at Ghukkianwali and dera head had to abandon his plans to held meeting at that village.

Besides this a separate FIR no 91 was registered under sections 341, 342, 148 and 149 for blocking road near Chormar in Haryana.

Besides this Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal was booked wide FIR no. 129 registered at Police station Audhan on December 25, 2012 under section 174-A of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for being a proclaimed offender under FIR number 90 of 16 July, 2007.
