Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified it’s public activities in Punjab. AAP activists are organizing small functions, road-shows, rallies etc. to reach out the masses. As a part of this campaign Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Ludhiana organized a cycle rally today, which was led by senior AAP leader HS Phoolka. A press notes by AAP says the cycling rally as organized with a view to boost cycling and to promote it as alternative lifestyle choice.
Advocate HS Phoolka said that AAP’s message to the people of Ludhiana we should adopt cycling as a life style and the aim of the cycle rally is to promote a healthy way of life and to ease the traffic congestion and the pollution in the city and to promote our cycle industry.
He appealed to the people of the city and the State to whole heartedly support and promote this initiative. He said that we will strive to bring about a change in peoples mindset, he said that he had asked all AAP volunteers to buy cycles which they did and he also appeal to the people to cycle short distances especially in the mornings as this has multiple benefits for our health and environment. This cycle rally started from Hotel Gulmohar and passed through Field Ganj, Karimpura Bazar, Electric Market, Saban Bazar, Girza Ghar Chowk, Clock Tower and finished at Rekhi Cinema and covered approx. distance of 10 to 12 KM, throughout this rally various associations and shopkeepers facilitated Mr. Phoolka and supported the rally.
HS Phoolka said that we will be enhancing this initiative to promote cycling with the help of various cycle manufacturing associations.
