AAP leaders plan to revive agitation over Ludhiana Fake Encounter, Meeting on Oct 19

Ludhiana, Punjab: Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann and other leaders have called a meeting of the committee formed to seek justice in the Ludhiana Fake encounter killings case on October 19. Two brothers, Harinder Singh and Jatinder Singh, were shot dead from point black range allegedly by Badal Dal leader Gurjit Singh in the presence of the police on September 27 during a police raid in Jamalpur area of Ludhiana.

The meeting of the “Justice Committee” has been called to revive the agitation for pressing the government to act tough on the Badal Dal leader and the police party involved in the killings. The panel comprises members of various political parties, including AAP, left parties, PPP, BSP and certain sections of BKU.

Bhawatn Mann said Punjab Congress spokesman Sukhpal Khaira, several CPI-CPM leaders, including Charan Singh Virdi and Bant Singh Brar, People’s Party of Punjab leader Jasvir Singh and BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla had agreed to attend the meeting.
