Chandigarh: Akhand Kirtani Jatha (AKJ) leader Bhai R. P. Singh has reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) chief Sukhbir Badal. Sukhbir Badal in a written release issued on January 30 Sukhbir Badal had said: “Punjabis had a right to know why Kejriwal was holding repeated meetings with extremist elements”. “Earlier you met Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) front organisation Akhand Kirtani Jatha members, including R P Singh,at Mohali. You have also held meetings with radical elements who organised a separatist conclave more than one year back”, Sukhbir Badal had said in that statement.

Bhai R. P. Singh lashed out at Sukhbir Badal saying that he was making all these allegations out of frustration.

“Badals knows me since 1992 and they were even reaching out the AKJ for support did not they know at that time that who was I?” he asked.

Taking defence of R. P. Singh, AAP leader Sanjay Singh, in a written statement issued on January 30, said: Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had held official meeting with R.P.Singh to discuss Sikh issues.
