New York, USA. (Press Release): American Sikh Council (ASC) is currently providing Conflict Resolution Service (CRS) and actively working to help resolve an internal conflict within a few Sikh Gurdwaras in the US.
To provide this service effectively, CRS team is seeking additional resources to supplement its current team. If you or someone you know that you think can serve in this team, we request you to provide us at least one such person from your Gurdwara Sangat to serve on this team. The recommended qualification for such a volunteer are:
- Knowledge on Sikh faith, and must not have committed any of the four “Bajjar Kurehats”.
- Mature person with experience in Gurdwara Management.
- An unbiased and neurtral person that is not involved in group-ism.
- Has time to devote for this sewa and empathy for this cause.
The conflict resolution services (CRS) is a much needed service being provided by the American Sikh Council (ASC) for member and non-members across the US. The objective is to keep Sikh issues in house and save the Sikh image from being tarnished in the court battles. Of course as a result the Sikh community’s funds will be used for better projects than attorney’s fees. In case there is any conflict in progress at your Gurdwara Sahib, please do not hesitate to approach the
American Sikh Council and learn about this service. The CRS handbooks were earlier hand delivered and/or mailed to Gurdwara Sahibs where ASC has the addresses.
Interested persons may contact ASC at CRS@americansikhcouncil.org for further information.
