Ambala: Two Amritdhari Sikhs were reportedly barred from entering examination halls by Haryana Staff Selection Commission representatives. Duo were barred for wearing Kirpan and Kara, that are must for a Sikh to wear all the times.

The Commission representatives stopped Karamvir Singh and Sukhvinder Singh from entering a Polytechnic institution here for the patwaris entrance examination, sources told Sikh Siyasat News.

As per India Today the Sikh candidates tried to convince the representatives by saying that they have to put on five Ks, including Kirpan, Kara, Kangha, Kesh and Kacchera, but in vain.

SGPC executive member Sukhdev Singh Bhaur has slammed the Haryana government for unduly harassing Sikh candidates during the exam.

As per information SGPC member Harpal Singh Pali along with other Sikh leaders reached the venue and protested against the Commission. SDM Shakti Singh and DSP Raj Kumar Walia also rushed to the spot.

After the intervention of the SDM, the students were allowed to sit for the examination, police said.
