Attack on Rakesh Tikait in Rajasthan’s Alwar; Car Damaged; BJP Blamed

Rajasthan/Chanidgarh: Farm leader Rakesh Tikait’s convoy was reportedly attacked in Rajasthan’s Alwar today. The attack on his convoy shattered the windows of Rakesh Tikait’s car.

Rakesh Tikait took to Twitter and share the a video of a damaged car, maintaining that it was goons of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who carried out the attack on his convoy.

As per reports, the incident took place in Tatarpur village of Rajasthan’s Alwar district.

BKU leader Rakesh Tikait has been leading the farmers’ protest against Centre’s three farm laws at the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur border for over four months now.

Rakesh Tikait Appeals Supporters and Farmers to Maintain Peace

In a brief written statement issued after the attack, Rakesh Tikait appealed to the farmers and supports to maintain peace and discipline at all protest sites, and not to get provoked by the incident. He said that the matter will be discussed in a joint meeting of farmers unions and future course will be decided accordingly.
