Badal Dal Leader’s Son Kuljeet “Monty” Brar Joins AAP

Chandigarh: After the implementation of the model code of conduct by the Election Commission of India last week, the state is witnessing a hypocritical scenario in which the political leaders of Punjab can be seen involved in rat race to make a jump from their parent parties to that for unexplained reasons. Latest in this serious is Shiromanin Akali Dal (Badal) at the time when the state is politically saturated, Kuljeet Singh ‘Monty’ Brar, son of senior SAD leader from Gidderbaha Assembly segment, Sant Singh Brar joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday in the presence of AAP Punjab incharge, Sanjay Singh. Brar was currently serving as vice-president of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD) Malwa zone-1, said the press note released by the AAP on Saturday evening.

Sant Singh Brar had contested the Assembly elections in 2012 on a SAD ticket from Gidderbaha.

While addressing the media Sanjay Singh reportedly said that youth is the backbone of the party and party assures them to provide a healthy future. He further stated that people were waiting for the announcement of Model Code of Conduct and will now come out only  to support AAP.

Whereas, Monty Brar claimed that  people friendly policies of AAP forced him to join the party. He further added that he will now work to strengthen party candidate Jagdeep Sandhu in Gidderbaha.
