Hissar, Haryana (July 1, 2014): Giving a shock to Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and his party on the issue of separate SGPC for Haryana, Badal’s close friend Om Prakash Chautala’s party Indian National Lok Dal has backed the efforts of Haryana Sikhs to form separate SGPC for Sikh Gurdwaras of Haryana.

The INLD MP from Hissar Dushyant Chautala, grandson of Om Prakash Chautala, on Tuesday (July 1, 2014) while talking to media persons said that the INLD strongly supported demand of separate committee for Haryana. The youngest MP in the Indian Parliament claimed that he and his party would meet Punjab government along with the delegation of Sikh leaders of Haryana so that the Punjab government could be convinced to form the separate committee.

Badal and Chautala are the fast friends and use to help each other time to time. With the current scene ahead of elections in Haryana state, the Chautalas themselves would try to woo Sikh voters and it will be the time to test his friend Badal, if Chautalas are honest in their statements in the case of separate committee.

Om Prakash Chautala is out of Tihar jail on interim bail while his son Ajay Chautala is still in Tihar Jail. Both are facing jail term for a teacher recruitment scam. Dushyanat Chautala is the frontline leader in Haryana for his party in the absence of both his father and grandfather.
