“The police cited alleged ‘security reason’ behind not presenting them in the court” said Advocate Manjhpur, while adding that the police requested the court to hold hearing through video conferencing but the judge directed them to ensure personal presence of all concerned persons in judicial custody on next hearing.
The case is being heard by Additional Sessions judge Charanjit Arora who fixed July 12 as next court date for hearing in this case. Defence counsel Advocate J. S. Chadda was also present during today’s court hearing.
The trial is yet to begin as the court is yet to hear arguments on the chargesheet presented by the prosecution in this case.
