Fatehgarh Sahib/ Chandigarh: A day after Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s spokesperson Advocate Amar Singh Chahal released a letter of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara before media-persons in Chandigarh, the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar chief Simrajit Singh Mann said that the contents of the letter could not be relied upon as it was not released through ‘proper channel’.

In a statement issued in Punjabi today, SAD (A) chief maintained that there were doubts about the credibility of the news and media reports related to Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s letter. S. Mann also maintained that ‘somebody might be misusing the name of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’.

Notably, Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in his letter released through his council Advocate Jagtar Singh Hawara had urged Bhai Satnam Singh Khandewala and other former ‘Panj Pyare’ of Akal Takht Sahib to take steps for Panthic unity to ensure participation of all concerned sections of the Sikh panth in Sarbat Khalsa.

Bhai Satnam Singh Khandewala and other former Panj Pyare of Akal Takht Sahib have announced formation of a seven member committee to make efforts for Panthic unity.

S. Simranjit Singh Mann has also raised questions about Bhai Satnam Singh Khandewala and other former Panj Pyare of Akal Takht Sahib saying that they had criticised the appointment of acting Jathedars by November 10 (2015) Panthic gathering at village Chabba during their visit to Dubai.

Mann said that the decision announced by Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s latest letter published in media was hard to digest for the ‘Panthic‘ circles.

Simranjit Singh Mann maintained that the statements published in certain newspapers under the name of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara have casted shadows of doubt amongst the Sikh masses.
