Burundi national Yannick, who was attacked by group of Punjabi boys in Jalandhar, shifted to his home country

Patiala, Punjab (June 16, 2014): Burundi national Yannick Nihangaza airlifted to his home country in state of coma. He was in hospital since last two years. A student from Burundi, who was attacked two years ago in Jalandhar. And was admitted at Columbia Asia hospital.

Nitbateganya, Yannick’s father had written to chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to help him take his son back home.

The Punjab government has recently taken a decision to bear the cost of all arrangements to fly him home costing Rs. 75 lakh for air ambulance, reported Hindustan Times.

The police have arrested all nine accused involved in physical and brutal assault on Yannick, a BSc computer student of a private university in Jalandhar.
