Ontario, Canada: Canadian Minister Ralph Goodale responds to media queries about Indian Media reports on alleged armed training camps in Canada.
“Wherever there is a credible, threat the police and security authorities of Canada respond appropriately, in robust ways,” Goodale said, adding that “Whatever action needs to be taken, is to be taken.”
Notably, Indian media outlets have been alleging while quoting unnamed sources in Indian security agencies that a Sikh person was conducting “terror training camps” in Canada to cause strike in India and Punjab. The media reports have invited sharp criticism from the Sikh circles that see it as an attempt to defame the Canadian Sikh diaspora.
