New Delhi/ Ludhiana (February 15, 2010): The Congress party of India has said that in Sajjan Kumar’s case, the Law shall take its own course. Sajjan Kumar is one of the Congress leaders who led killer gangs in first week of November 1984, who killed thousand innocent Sikhs.

Congress’s statement has come in wake of proceedings initiated by a Delhi court against Sajjan Kumar on the accusations placed by CBI. “He (Sajjan Kumar) is a former MP and a member of the party. Law will take its own course,” party spokesman Shakeel Ahmed told reporters, says a PTI report.

Reacting over it Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, chairman, Sikhs for Human Rights has said that “isn’t it strange that even after Law is yet to take its course?”

“A question is natural to arise at this stage is that will law ever take its course in cases related to 1984 Sikh Massacre?” he added.
