The counting of votes for Lok Sabha elections 2019 was held in Punjab yesterday. Congress won 8 seats, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and its ally Bhartiya Janta Party bagged 2 seats each while the Aam Aadmi Party manage to save 1 seat.
Punjab has 13 Lok Sabha seats polling for which was held in seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on May 19 (Sunday). The counting of votes was held on Thursday (May 23).
Sweeping through most parts of Indian subcontinent, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is set to return to power. As per trends available at the time of writing this news BJP was leading on 292 seats while the Congress trailed far behind with 51.
