Celebrating Sikh Heritage Month: Sikh Research Institute to hold various programs

Ontario, Canada: The month of April marks Sikh Heritage Month in Canada and the Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI) has announced to hold various programs to mark Sikh Heritage Month.

Here is a list of events to be held by the Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI):

SIKH PARENTS & KIDS Sunday, April 5, 2015 | 2:30pm – 5:00pm Drop-in Art Exploration for Parents and Kids with age appropriate guided tours of the exhibits with scavenger hunt and hands-on art activity for kids of all ages Presented by Ramandeep Kaur.

SIKHI 101 Saturday, April 18, 2015 | 1:30pm – 3:30 pm What’s the common thread that binds together 25 million Sikhs? A presentation that gives an appreciation of the breadth and depth of the Sikh experience. Presented by Kulvir Singh.

VAISAKHI: FROM PANJABI FESTIVAL TO SIKH IDEALS Saturday, April 25, 2015 | 10:00am – 12:30pm Vaisakhi has been celebrated for centuries. Explore how Guru Gobind Singh turned Vaisakhi into his launching pad for a revolution. Presented by Harinder Singh from Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI).

Besides this Sikh Research Institute CEO Harinder Singh will be guest speaker at Nagar Kirtan Canada.
