Chandigarh: The bench of Justice Jatinder Chauhan of Punjab and Haryana high court issued notice for 30th Nov 2016, in the case related to custodial torture of a Sikh youth belonging to Hoshiarpur district. Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa and 3 others were allegedly tortured with 3rd degree methods by the Punjab police belonging to the Hoshiarpur district.

The Petitioners have demanded Judicial enquiry from Session Judge Hoshiarpur into the allegations of torture and illegal detention.

Advocate Navkiran Singh said that in the petition the role of Magistrates and Doctors besides police officials who tortured the petitioners has also been sought to be probed into.
