New Delhi: Former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh here today released the congress election manifesto for Punjab assembly elections, Former CM and Punjab Congress leader Capt Amrinder Singh along with Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and Ambika Soni were present at the event.
The Congress party in its manifesto stated that if voted to power they would waive off the farmers loan standing at Rs 67,000 crore. The party has also promised a job to each of the 55 lakh households, Congress further said that it will give free education to girls from school up till PhD.

Meanwhile, Party’s CM candidate for Punjab Capt Amrinder Singh while addressing the media persons present at the event stated that the party will do out of box thinking to bridge the fiscal gap. He said the state has a budgetary deficit of Rs 5,000 crore and debt of over Rs one lakh crore. Further adding to his statement he claimed that The party government will also give Rs 2,500 per month to every youth till jobs are found. Congress has promised affordable power to industry to attract investment to create jobs. It has promised to reduce power from Rs 7.50 per unit to Rs 5 per unit along with it will appoints government gaurdians those who will look after the implementation of the aforesaid scheme.
