On February 5, a shaheedi smagam dedicated to the martyrdom of Sikh martyrs Bhai Harminder Singh, Bhai Jhilman Singh, Bhai Ravinder Singh and Bhai Baldhir Singh Ji was organized at village Bohran wala Littran dist. While sharing the history with the Sangat in this event, the speakers said that on February 4, 1986, the Sikh Sangat was peacefully protesting for the action against the accused for desecration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, when the Sikh Sangat was shot by the police and four students were martyred. Even later, the government kept stopping the Sangat from commemorating these martyrs. The government has also failed to take action against the accused police officers after so many years.
