Amritsar/Gurdaspur: The representatives of governments of India and Pakistan today singed agreement to operationalise Kartarpur Sahib corridor which will connect Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of West Punjab with Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of East Punjab.
The agreement was signed at Kartarpur Zero Line at 12:00 pm, wherein the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal represented Pakistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency of Pakistan reported.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the corridor on November 9 on the western side while it will be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on same day on the eastern side.
More details about the contents of the final agreement were awaited but it is known that both the governments have agreed to provide for visa free passage from East Punjab to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in West Punjab to five thousand persons a day and Pakistan will collect US $20/- per person as service fee.
