Hindutva outage against PK movie: Bajrang Dal burnts PK posters in Jammu

Jammu: Activists of Hindutva body ‘Bajrang Dal’ reportedly burnt posters of Aamir Khan’s latest movie ‘PK’. Hindu extremist body alleged that PK, directed by Rajkumar Hirani insults Hindu religion in general and Hindu god Shiv in particular.

Activists of Bajrang Dal held a protest demonstration agianst PK movie in Jammu where they burnt posters of ‘PK’ movie while demanding ban on it’s screening.

Notably, while responding to objections against PK moive few days back, actor Aamir Khan said that ‘those who do not like the movie, should not watch it’.

Hindu Legal Cell-Delhi and Shiv Sena, the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) is also demanding ban on director Raj Kumar Hirani’s movie ‘PK’.

Based on a police complaint filed by Meena Kamat from Panaji, accusing the film ‘PK’ of hurting the sentiments of the Hindus, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), a rightwing Hindu outfit has demanded an immediate ban on the film for “hurting sentiments of Hindus by ridiculing Hindu Dharma”.

Hindutva body in it’s police complaint said that the story of this film is supporting the conceived notion of ‘Love Jihad’ and a Pakistani Muslim youth is being glorified in it.

It alleged that the purpose behind producing such a film is creating confusion in Hindus’ mind and urged the police to register a case of crimes under section 153 A, along with 295 A and 34 and this film should be immediately banned.

Hindu Legal Cell-Delhi had accused the film for showing Hindu gods in ‘bad light’.

Interesting Hindutva ideologue and BJP leader LK Advani showered praise on PK and appreciated the markers of the controversial movie for promoting the perceived notion of Indian nationalism.
