New Delhi, India: As per reports Delhi High Court has upheld the ban on telecast of a documentary titled “India’s Daughters”. The documentary made by a British filmmaker is said to be based on an interview with a convict in the December 16, 2012 Delhi gang-rape case.
The Delhi High court also banned the telecast of the documentary on the internet too.
“Cops can act if the film is aired,” the Delhi high court said today (March 04), while upholding ban on screening/ telecast of the documentary.
Earlier in the day Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh announced government’s decision to impose ban on screening of a documentary titled “India’s Daughters” in India. The documentary is made by a British filmmaker Leslee Udwin.
