Chandigarh: It is learnt that the jail department in Punjab has lodged Jagtar Singh ‘Jaggi’, Taljit Singh alias Jimmy, Hardeep Singh Shera and Ramandeep Singh Bagga in different jails of Punjab.
The Special NIA Court in Mohali had sent them to judicial custody in Maximum Security Jail in Nabha but the jail department has shifted Hardeep Singh Shera to the Central Jail in Patiala, Ramandeep Singh Bagga is shifted to a jail in Ropar while Taljit Singh Jimmy is sent to a jail in Sangrur.
Quartet are currently facing allegations in various cases being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India.
The NIA has sought additional time to present chargesheet in RC/18/DLI/2017 which pertained to RSS leader Ravinder Gosian’s killing. The special NIA court of Ms. Anshul Berry is scheduled to hold hearing on NIA’s plea on 12th February and it expected that quartet will be presented in the court in person on that day.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Taljit Singh Jimmy has started hunger strike in Sangrur jail to protest against jail transfer.
