Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia shot at outside his office, rushed to PGI

Fatehgarh Sahib (August 01, 2011): As per certain media reports an unidentified person on Monday fired at Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia vice chancellor of Guru Granth Sahib university inside the university campus situated at Fatehgarh Sahib.

“Ahluwalia was seriously injured has been rushed to PGI Chandigarh” it adds. The assailant has managed to flee. The police has started search operation.

Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia had previously been vice-chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala and during his tenure there serious allegations of misconduct and abuse were levelled against him. Many sections were opposing his appointment as vice-chancellor of Guru Granth Sahib University, Fatehgarh Sahib.
