Dera chief had sent two so-called apologies but those were rejected by the Sikh Panth and Sikh Jathedars as these so-called apologies were found to be fraudulent.

The decision taken by Sikh jathedars today is considered to have been taken in accordance with political considerations of Punjab’s ruling party Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). It is expected to spark resentment from Sikh circles.
