Amritsar, Punjab (February 21, 2014): Days after Badal Dal president and Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal alleged that Advocate HS Phoolka, who has been announced as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Ludhiana, had charged heavy fees for fighting cases of victims of November 1984 ant-Sikh pogrom, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee has maintained that it paid Rs. 42 Lakhs to a panel of 5 layers on the recommendations of Advocate HS Phoolka.

Notably, while rebutting Sukhbir Badal’s allegations HS Phoolka has already dared him to prove his allegations.

On the recent statement by SGPC president, Advocate Phoolka reportedly said that this panel of five lawyers was formed by SGPC to handle Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler cases.

None of these five advocates were his juniors, since they have their own established practice, he said.

These cases have six rounds in High Court and Supreme Court, and in these 18 cases he did not charge any fee at all from SGPC.

It is believe that Advocate Phoolka is a strong candidate from Ludhiana therefore Sukhbir Badal has been attempting to tarnish his image.
