Nabha Police gets 5 days Police Remand of Harvinder Singh Mintu

Nabha: The Nabha police was able to secure five days police remand of Harminder Singh Mintoo in relation to Nabha Jailbreak case on Thursday (Dec. 15).

Harminder Singh Mintoo’s counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News  (SSN) that a police party led by Nabha Kotwali SHO Rajesh Kumar presented Bhai Mintoo before the area magistrate and demanded 14 days custody.

“I was informed by the police about arrest of Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo by Nabha police in FIR no 142/16, police station Kotwali (Nabha) u/s 307, 392, 120B, 223, 224, 148 and 149 IPC and 25 and 27 of Arms Act. The police informed me just before presenting Bhai Mintoo before the magistrate therefore I could not personally reach the court but I consulted Advo. Sikandar Partap Singh who represented Bhai Mintoo during he hearing. The police please for 14 days was opposed by Bhai Mintoo’s counsel and after hearing both sides, the court sent him on 5 days police remand”, said Advocate Jaspal Singh.
