Native village remembers the martyr: Samagam held at village Aghwant in the memory of Shaheed Satwant Singh

Gurdaspur, Punjab (January 06, 2014): An annual Shaheedi Samagam in the memory of Shaheed Satwant Singh Ji and Bhai Kehar Singh Ji was held at Village Agwaan, near Kalanaur, Distt Gurdaspur on 6 January, 2014 to mark the memory of great Sikh martyrs of the Sikh nation, who were hanged as per orders of Indian courts in Indira Gandhi assassination case on 6 Jan. 1989.

Thousands paid tribute to Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh. The smagam also maked the 13th annual memory (death anniversary) of Bibi Surinder Kaur Ji, wife of Shaheed Satwant Singh Ji.

The smagams were held at a Gurdwara Sahib at village Aghwan, which marks the memorail for Shaheed Satwant Singh ji.

As per information Bapu Tarlok Singh (father of Bhai Satwant Singh) and other family members welcomed and thanked the Sangat for being part of Samagam.
