NZ Sikh students received Death Threats online; Police says ‘can’t help’

New Zealand: A Sikh student named Rajwinder Singh was reportedly threatened with death after his picture was posted on social media calling him a “terrorist.”

Rajwinder Singh, a student was shocked after the police refused to register a complaint.

Rajwinder Singh’s photo was reportedly posted online without his knowledge where people posted offensive comments against him calling him a ‘terrorist’ and gave him death threats.

After Rajwinder Singh approached the police, the police said they can’t do anything as comments posted online are considered “not public” in New Zealand, notes a news reported by a local news channel.
