Ontario, Canada: On November 4, the Ontario Gurdwaras Committee in partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation is hosting David Suzuki at their partnership event 905 Talks Climate.
At 905 Talks Climate, David Suzuki will join a panel of leaders from the 905’s Sikh, Muslim and Tamil communities to discuss how newcomer communities can take the lead on climate justice.
905 Talks Climate is an initiative of the Charged Up program, which showcases and supports communities across Canada investing in a low-carbon economy.
This evening is one of many events that the Ontario Gurdwaras Committee is organizing in celebration of Guru Nanak’s 550th Gurpurab. OGC is also organizing tree planting events on November 2nd at Gore Meadows Community Centre and November 9th at City of Oakville – Shell Par along with a lecture series every Saturday and Sunday until November 17th at Louise Arbour Secondary School in Brampton.
