Police gets Bapu Surat Singh shifted to Ludhiana from PGI

Ludhiana: Fasting Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa who has been on hunger strike for more than 150 days now is reportedly re-shifted to Ludhiana this evening. He was shifted to PGI (Chanidgarh) few days back by the Ludhaina police.

A representative of the Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee told SSN that the Punjab police belonging to Ludhaina district got Bapu Surat Singh discharged from PGI and he was being shifted to Ludhaina. There is apprehension that the Ludhaina police may keep him at Civil Hospital, Ludhiana where he may be force-fed by the doctors.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Bapu Surat Singh has said that he will even stop drinking water if the Punjab government fails to take appropriate steps to release concerned Sikh political prisoners.
