Pro Freedom Kashmiri Leaders Postpone Chalo Lal Chowk March in Wake of Guru Nanak Ji’s Gurpurab

Srinagar: In a joint statement issued by pro-freedom faction of Kashmir Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik have accepted the request of the J&K Sikhs to postpone the 14th November 2016 ”Chalo Lal Chownk” march in wake of Guru Nanak Sahib’s Prakash Gurupurab.

“The leaders said that we believe in the golden ethos of religious freedom and tranquility which can clearly be seen in form of our rich and glorious past.

The leaders further said that only the march for 14th November 2016 has been postponed and the rest of the program for the day will go as per the schedule. While congratulating the Sikh community they said that Sikhs and Pundits inseparable part of our Kashmiri society.

The leaders also appealed to the people to follow the programmes and courageously defeat the nefarious designs of those who want to sabotage it for their own interests.
