Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala suspended by SGPC

Anandpur Sahib: Ragi Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala, who has been opposing ‘misdeeds’ of ruling regime of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has reportedly been suspended by the SGPC. Notably, Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala, had been accusing SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar for playing into the hands of anti-Sikh forces.

Sikh Sadbhawna Dal (SSD) led by Bhai Baldev Singh recently held a conference at Anandpur Sahib on March 22 giving out a call to start Gurdwara administration reforms movement while equating present regime controlling the SGPC with infamous Narainu Mahant. SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar said that by defaming the SGPC, Baldev Singh Wadala was working against the interests of the Sikh panth.

Talking to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala’s companion Bhai Iqbal Singh said that Avtar Singh Makkar’s recent statement about their suspension holds no meaning as they were facing suspension like situation for past six months. He said that the SGPC was not recording their attendance for past six months besides withholding their salary.

He said that the Sikh Sadbhawna Dal would continue with their efforts of build Gurdwara reforms movement.
