RSS And Its Offshoot ABVP Fueling Intolerance, Won’t Tolerate Such Non Sense In Punjab: Dal Khalsa

Hoshiarpur: The pro- freedom Sikh group Dal Khalsa along with its youth wing Sikh Youth of Punjab here today targeted RSS and its offshoots especially Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for fueling rising intolerance in the country.

said that ever since the Modi government came to power in the center, power seized by its parent party Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has gone to the head of the ABVP. They said after playing havoc at Ramjas college in Delhi, these power-drunk elements had repeated the same in Punjab University at Chandigarh.

They further said that more than intolerance it is the design to impose Hindutva’s newly coined definition of so-called nationalism on others who do not proscribe to it.  The space for dissent and freedom of expression has been diminished and tragedy is that the junior Minister for Home affairs Kiren Rijju is not only supporting but encouraging the politics of hatred being brazenly played by likes of the ABVP.

Furthermore they reportedly said that they would not tolerate all this non-sense in Punjab and vowed to take such people head-on. Expressing solidarity with the student’s bodies that have taken up the cudgels against RSS sponsored fascist tendencies, they gave a clarion call to youth irrespective of their political ideology to coordinate their strength & energy to contain and contest the nefarious designs of these fascist goons.

While further adding to their statement they said lumpen elements within the Sangh Parivar had touched a new low, by shamelessly threatening Gurmehar Kaur, who has dared to call spade a spade.
