New Delhi (February 16, 2010): Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, who is facing the threat of arrest in a case related to massacre of Sikhs in November 1984, today approached the Delhi High Court seeking anticipatory bail. His anticipatory bail plea was rejected yesterday by Katkardooma court.
Sajjan Kumar is one of those politicians who are considered to be responsible for carrying genocidal massacre of Sikhs after the assassination of Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India. Kumar is able to evade accountability for last 25 years, as judicial system in India seems to have collapsed in cases related to 1984 carnage that claimed lives of thousand innocent Sikhs.
