Amritsar, Punjab: Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi chief and former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Paramjit Singh Sarna yesterday sought action against Raagi Balbir Singh for reciting Gurbani at controversial dera Divya Jyoti Jagran Sansthan.
As per a press release sent to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Sarna has urged the Sikh jathedars to summon the “erring raagi” and deliberate on the matter in their meeting scheduled to take place at the Akal Takht Secretariat on September 10.
Parmjeet Singh Sarna also had a word with Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh over the issue.
There is wide outrage against Raagi Balbir Singh after two of his videos admiring controversial dera chief Ashutosh surfaced on social media. After first video Raagi Balbir Singh had tendered apology through a video message. But the issue has again surfaced after even a more offensive video went viral on social media in last few days.
