Separate SGPC issue takes another turn: 3 more SGPC members (including 2 from Badal Dal) revolt, Call for Sikh convention in Ambala tomorrow

Chandigarh (June 30, 2014): Two days after Shiromani Akali Dal Badal SGPC member Bhupinder Singh Asandh revolt against the party and supported separate SGPC for Sikh Gurdwaras of Haryana, three more SGPC members including two from Badal Dal revolted supporting separate panel for Haryana and announced to participate in Sikh convention at Kaithal on July 6.

During a news conference at Chandigarh today (June 30, 2014), SGPC member Harpal Singh, Amrik Singh, both had won at SAD ticket in Haryana, and an independent SGPC member from Sirsa Gurmeet Singh supported separate committee for Haryana.

Talking to the media persons at the press club here, the trio said that it was time for Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to announce separate committee for Haryana and to form it at the earliest adding “The Sikhs of Haryana will not forgive Hooda and his party, if he fails in doing so”.

“We have called a Sikh convention for Sikhs of Haryana at Amabala tomorrow (July 01, 2014) and president Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi Paramjeet Singh Sarna will address the convention”, they stated.

Two days ago, Badal Dal SGPC member Bhupinder Singh from Asandh had revolted against the party and supported separate panel.
