Sikh Political Prisoners’ issue: Jatha of 60 to court arrest today in support of Bapu Surat Singh’s struggle

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab: A Jatha of more than 60 persons is expected to court arrest today at Chandigarh in protest to Punjab government’s failure to secure release of Sikh political prisoners, who have completed their jail terms.

Sources told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the jatha of 62 Sikh activities is led by Advo. Harpal Singh Cheema (Panch Pardhani), Dr. Manjinder Singh Jandi (Dal Khalsa), Jasvir Singh Khandur, Mohkam Singh (United Akali Dal), Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala (Damdami Taksal – Ajnala faction), Gurpreet Singh (Sikh Youth of Punjab) and Bhai Sukhwinder Singh (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satikar Sabha, Haryana).

Sikh activists gathered at Fatehgarh Sahib this morning and the Sikh Jatha left for Chandigarh after “Ardas”.
