Slough: A Sikh youth summer camp has been hailed a ‘huge success’ by organisers.

From Monday (July 25) until Wednesday (July 26) 180 children took part in a number of activities at the Singh Sabha Slough Sports Centre in Stoke Poges Lane.

The youngsters, aged between 5 and 16-years old enjoyed arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, visits from the police and fire service and also learnt more about the Sikh religion.

Every morning the children also took part in prayers.

Camp leader, Anita Singh, said: “This is the first time we have held a camp in Slough and it has been a huge success.

“We had a lot of positive feedback from parents which means we are looking to bring it back next year.

“We are also looking to set up some other activities during school holidays as well.

“It’s only going to get bigger and better.”
