Amritsar, Punjab: A press release by Sikh Youth Front (SYF) says that youth front is organizing ‘Ghulami Chetna March’ in Amritsar on November 9, 2014. Pappal Preet Singh of SYF told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that the march was being organized with a motive to spread awareness about the crisis of Punjab in relation to atrocities committed by governments against Sikhs.

“Punjabis, especially Sikhs, are spending their lives in slavery and the state is dying physically and ideologically. Thousands of Sikh youths have been murdered by security forces of India extra-judicially, violating basic human rights. The state backed Hindu mobs that killed Sikhs in Delhi and other cities of India with the intention of genocide of the members of the minority community. Thousands of Punjabi farmers commit suicide every year” said Pappal Preet Singh.

He further said that no justice could be secured for these atrocities in India as Sikhs are politically subjugated to the Indian state and the state was treating Sikhs as slaves.
