Sufferings of Civilians increase along side LoC as India and Pakistan intensify gunfire

India/ Pakistan: Accusing each other for committing ceasefire violations, India and Pakistan have intensified exchange of fires along side Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. Domestic media of India and Pakistan is reporting the developments more or less in ‘official versions’ whereas International media reports reveal that civilians on both sides of LoC are suffering in terms of causalities, injuries and displacements.

India and Pakistan are accusing each other for deliberately targeting civilians.

A recent report in Indian media says that about 20,000 people have been displaced by ‘ceasefire violations’ by Pakistan in recent days. An Aljazeera report from Sialkot (Pakistan) says that Indian firing has displaced more than 40,000 people in Pakistan occupied Kashmir so far.

Meanwhile, Indian media reports say that India has decided to ‘toughen’ it’s stance on ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
