Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Ludhiana has accused the administration and health authorities of being totally negligent and unmindful of the woes of even suspected Swine Flu patients. AAP Ludhiana Convenor Ahbaab Singh Grewal said that Swine Flu patients have to run from pillar to post to even to get admitted in a hospital. The district and health authorities have completely failed to provide even basic medical treatment. All help lines are useless as there is no response.

Narrating an incident Ahbaab Singh Grewal said that Tehal Singh from Chappar as suspected Swine Flu patient was turned two hospitals and rejected by two before finally being admitted to Fortis Hospital. This gentleman was rejected by Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, DMC and the Swine Flu desks at Oswal Hospital and Apollo Hospital. When he tried to contact the Swine Flu helpline there was no response. Finally he was accepted into Fortis Hospital, He has borne all expenses from his own pocket. This totally is contrary to Govt claims that it is bearing all expenses of Swine Flu patients and they are being provided all possible help.

Aam Aadmi Party had demanded that the Govt gets it act in order and fulfill its duty to its citizens to provided the basic facilities and support in the face of this epidemic and take practical steps to handle the situation rather than making tall promises and false claims.AAP Ludhiana today accused the administration and health authorities of being totally negligent and unmindful of the woes of even suspected Swine Flu patients.
