Chicago, IL (November 08, 2013): A US Court of Appeals in Chicago held a hearing to decide whether Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal was served with Federal Court summons during his last year Milwaukee visit as claimed by rights group “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) in the pending case of torture and extra judicial killing of Sikhs.

Geneva, Switzerland (November 02, 2013): On the 29th year of violence against Sikhs, thousands of Sikhs who joined “Justice Rally” against Government of India for gross human rights violations committed during November 1984 and impunity to those who orchestrated genocidal attacks on Sikhs.
Geneva, Switzerland (November 02, 2013): It is learnt that thousands of Sikhs from across the globe rallied on November 01, 2013 at the UN's Geneva base, demanding an international investigation of a deadly wave of genocidal violence against the Sikhs in India in 1984. Sikh activists have strongly asserted that the killings 29 years ago were state-sponsored genocide, while India blames them as mere “riots”.

The protestors from Europe, Canada and United States are coming to Switzerland to mark the 29th year of 1984 attacks on Sikhs in India. The gathering before UN is to highlight the denial of justice to the victims of November 1984 and expose the impunity to those who perpetrated violence against Sikhs.
Washington D.C. (October 31, 2013): It is learnt that the Sikh youths had an amazing opportunity to meet with community leaders for a rare lesson in leadership and advocacy rights on Capitol Hill. The United Sikhs Young Sikh Leaders Workshop (YSLW) provided students of undergraduate universities to gather at Washington D.C. to build their leadership and advocacy skills. They met with Sikh activists and leaders to learn about issues that affect the Sikh American community and discovered possible actions that may be taken to make a difference in the community.
Washington, United States (October 30, 2013): According to information sent to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) by the Sikh Human Development Foundation (SHDF), this Washington-based Sikh body has been granting scholarships to needy students pursuing higher education in Punjab and other northern Indian states. This year the Foundation has given scholarships to 508 students in 159 institutions/colleges, totaling over $200,000.
Vancouver, Canada (October 29, 2013): Around 100 years after Ghadri Bhai Mewa Singh became the first Sikh from India/Punjab to be executed in Canada on charges of killing a senior British officer there, the Punjabis residing in the country are moving a petition against branding him as a criminal in the Canadian historical and legal records.
New York/ Chandigarh (October 29, 2013): It is learnt that around 1 million (ten lakh) persons have already signed the Sikh Genocide 1984 Petition. The shall be submitted to United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay in Geneva by various Sikh and human rights organizations on November 1, 2013 which marks the 29th anniversary of the genocide of Sikhs in November 1984.
New York, USA (October 24, 2013): According to certain media reports Congress Party’s council US – Ravi Batra said Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) had indulged in "improper judge-and-venue-shopping" while filing lawsuits against the leaders in several federal courts. He was referring to recent lawsuits filed by the Sikhs for Justice and the victims/survivors of Sikh Genocide 1984 in US Federal Courts.
Mannheim, Germany (October 20, 2013): It is learnt that various Sikh bodies of Germany have issued an appeal to join the 1984yesitsgenocide campaign initiated by US based human rights and advocacy group “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ). SFJ has opened a petition for online signatures that shall be submitted to a United Nations’ body on 1 November.
New York, USA (October 17, 2013): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), a Federal Court of the United States of America (USA) has ordered initial status conference in the pending case against Congress President Sonia Gandhi for shielding human rights violators. Judge Brian M. Cogan will hold the status conference on October 22 in accordance with Fed. R. Civ. P. 16.
London, United Kingdom (October 15, 2013): It is learnt that a UK court has deferred the sentencing of four Sikhs, including one woman, to December 10, 2013. They were convicted of carrying out an attack on Indian Army’s retired Lt. General Kuldip Brar who had led the Indian army’s attack on Sikh Gurdwaras across Punjab and adjoining states in June 1984, including Darbar Sahib, Amritsar.

London, United Sikhs (October 09, 2013): The UN Human Rights Committee (UNHRC) has now ruled on three separate occasions in the last three years in favour of Sikhs to wear their turbans in France.
