Tarn Taran: As per information the Tarn Taran police has booked 12 Sikhs under Section 295, 307, 341, 148, 149, 506 IPC for allegedly assaulting former SGPC president Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke and his supporters in Bath village a month ago.

A case has been registered under the local Sadar police for attacking Pakhoke.

Notably former SGPC chief had gone to the Bath village, along with his supporters, after an incident of beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib was reported from that village on October 16. A group of Sikh activists had protested during Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke’s visit while accusing his party’s government for failure to arrest culprits responsible for beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib.
