UAD and Mann Dal announce to hold Sarbat Khalsa on Nov. 10

Ludhiana: United Akali Dal (UAD), Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) and other Sikh groups today announced to told Sarbat Khalsa on November 10 at Gurdwara Baba Naudh Singh located on Tarn Taran to Amritsar road.

The announcement in this regard was made by SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjeet Singh Mann during a Panthic convention held at Gurdwara Shaheedan, Model Town Ludhiana.

Some speakers, including Giani Kewal Singh and Giani Balwant Singh, emphasised that first norm about calling and holding Sarbat Khalsa should be laid down before actually calling the Sarbat Khalsa, but the organizers of the meeting announce to hold the Sarbat Khalsa on Nov. 10.

Various speakers criticised the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and said that the Badal regime had downgraded the honour of Jathedars’ positions by using these highly respectable seats to fulfil its political interests.

The convention was attended by around two hundred persons. S. Simranjeet Singh Mann, Giani Kewal Singh, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Dhian Singh Mann, Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala, Mohkam Singh, Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, R.P. Singh, Gurmeet Singh Tirlokewala, Karnail Singh Peer Mohammand and Balwant Singh Gopala were prominent among those present on the occasion.
