In this speech Bhai Mandhir Singh explains that what were internal and external, as well as political and ideological factors behind introducing new farming pattern in Punjab in last 1960s. What were motives behind that new farming pattern which was termed as the “green revolution” and how its fall outs are responsible for present crisis of Punjab’s economy and ecology.
In this speech Bhai Mandhir Singh also analyzed the limitations of political powers of Punjab under Indian subjugation, the current political scenario of Punjab; limitations, role and character of political dispensations that are presently active in Punjab and said that those who are seriously interested in welfare of Punjab should work for developing systems to control and direct the politics of Punjab instead of participating in the race for “subedari” of Punjab under the Biparvadi Delhi Takht.
