Amritsar: While speaking to media persons, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) president S. Simranjeet Singh Mann said that Sikh sangat’s response to the “Sarbat Khalsa” call was overwhelming. He claimed that nearly one lakh Sikhs would attend the event.
SAD (Mann) chief warned chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal against trying to scuttle the event.
“Police in various districts are pressurising people to skip ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ and forcing private transporters not to give the organisers any buses for carrying supporters to the venue”, said S. Simranjeet Singh Mann while adding that they would target the Badals’ hotels and Orbit buses, if the government tries to obstruct the November 10 event.
