Amritsar, Punjab: Taking strong notice of PTC’s claims regarding exclusive rights over Gurbani broadcast from Darbar Sahib (Amritsar), the World Sikh Parliament has issued a written statement condemning the PTC Network.

WSP secretaries Manpreet Singh and Hardial Singh said that such claims symbolises the de-generation of Sikh bodies like Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) that have allowed PTC to set-up hegemonic and exclusive control over the Gurbani broadcast from Darbar Sahib (Amritsar).

WSP said that Gurbani was for all the mankind and no body- individual, organisation or community, could claim any exclusive rights pertaining to Gurbani.

Referring to PTC’s attempt to block other social-media networks from sharing the Daily Hukumnama Sahib from Darbar Sahib, the WSP said that such moves were intolerable and must be rejected.

The World Sikh Parliament called upon Sikh organisations and Sikh sangat to oppose the commercialisation of Gurbani broadcast and free it from the clutches of PTC Network.
